I love all the comments that reduce this down to sex. There is so much
more to it than that one thing and the dolts that think it’s about
sexualizing your relationship with your child are just ignorant fools.

I like the comment about “even animals know when to stop breast feeding
their young…” because I see adolescent and adult cattle sucking from
another cow’s teats like all the time. *eyeroll*

I don’t see breastfeeding as sexual at all, I’m nursing my daughter and I
haven’t experienced it that way, though I could be misunderstanding the
point. I plan to let her nurse pretty much as long as she wants, the only
thing it’s costing me is the ability to have more than one beer at a time.
People will probably think it’s weird, just like they thought it was weird
she wasn’t born at the hospital. I really don’t care. In public I try to be
discreet or go to the car if it’s close by but that’s for my comfort, not
others. Breastfeeding (even past 6 months) is natural and normal and what
God intended. But to each their own :)

@willowtreephoto Ignore Domram. He makes the same comments on every single
breastfeeding video. On a different note. Awesome video and I loved 2 years
and beyond. My daughter is sleeping next to me. Happy nurser. Sorry it is
late at night so my thoughts become sporadic.

i breastfed my baby till he was six months old it was my choice to feed and
my choice to stop and i believe everyone has the same choice i personally
would not breastfeed after one but everyone is different

Breastfeeding is not discussting at all! That’s what boobs were meant for
right? I don’t think God created breasts as a sexual instrument. Breasts
are a babys food and it annoys me when people get offended by a mother
nursing a child yet they don’t get offended by a bunch of almost naked
women they see on the streets…. I have a 5 month old & yes I do
breastfeed & I will continue to do so until I no longer feel comfortable
with breastfeeding….. I personally think that breastfeeding is amazing

@angerdux8 Can you delete ALL your misinformed comments here? Not just to
those who threaten you? You obviously have too much time on your hands,
dear sir. Remember, ignorance is a choice. So is cowardice.

It wont let me post a link- but discover magazine has an article and if you
google it you will find more. Also, BM has pretty much the same ingredients
no matter what you eatt. It has been found that there is little/no
difference between mothers on significantly different diets hence why a
woman who can barely get any food can still feed her child. A woman who
eats healthy is benefiting herself more then her child.

@domram12 So, after watching that awesome video, that is all you got from
it? You associate an endorphin rush with only sexual arousal? It’s true,
many of the same hormones and neurotransmitters take part–but it’s a
completely different event, a different LOVE. If you’re just going to spout
off ignorant comments, why did you even watch this? It’s fine to have your
own opinions, no one will take that away. At least come with intelligence
rather than the mess you’ve got going on.

    i wouldn’t say that’s the only reason.

I watched your videos while I was pregnant and was even more inspired to
breast feed past 6 months as a goal. Now, my son is 2+ and still nurses
many times a day. I would never have guessed I’d still be breastfeeding him
and I’m so happy to be. This is a beautiful video!

@pdwd88 I have never heard of any studies that show that you shouldn’t
breastfeed toddlers…quite the opposite. Now, toddlers do NOT get bf
exclusively…they also get solids but the milk they are give has MANY
benefits. Breastmilk changes to support the immune system of toddlers, it
has ingredients that help to build higher IQ’s and it has recently been
shown to kill at LEAST 40 types of cancer cells. Why wouldnt you give that
to your child as long as possible?
